Introduction
I chose this as my third stay during my Bangkok workcation from September 2nd to 8th, 2025.Siamotif Boutique Hotel。
This is a small boutique hotel located in the Noi district of Bangkok, where the old townscape remains, along a tributary of the Chao Phraya River.
Although it does not have the luxury and convenience of a city hotel, it has a nostalgic atmosphere that can only be experienced here.The luxury of doing nothing” is there.
This time, we will provide a review of our stay, including a workday perspective.

Why did we choose this hotel?
I learned about the existence of this hotel after watching a video by “MAIBARU” on YouTube.
I decided to include it in my itinerary because I felt like I could have a relaxing workday in a different atmosphere than a hotel in the city.
I will explain the detailed reasons why I chose this hotel in terms of work and vacation.
Reason for work surface
- You can concentrate on your work in a quiet area that is different from the city.
- I feel like I can work as if I were living there while feeling the local atmosphere.
- I was able to confirm that there was Wi-Fi and a power source in the guest room, so I determined that there would be no problem with my work.
Vacation reasons

If you send a message in advance via chat that you will be arriving early, you will receive a cute reply with a cat emoji.

When I arrived, my room wasn’t ready yet, but after checking in, I was able to relax and wait on the terrace.
Room reviews
This time I stayed at「New Charcoal」A room called.
Your personality shines through in a calm atmosphere.
From the bed you can see the river view through the window.A daybed is placed next to the window, so you can take a nap while looking out at the river.The best space.
Flowing in front of you is a quiet tributary of the Chao Phraya River, and the occasional sight of local boats passing by invites you to travel.
On the other hand, when I looked into the distance, I could see the bridge and the MRT running over it, and I felt a unique nostalgic feeling of “a mixture of the countryside and the city.”
The interior is decorated with hand-painted pictures scattered throughout, making it stylish without being too flashy.
The time I spent in a “unique space” that was different from a mass-produced hotel was very memorable.
In addition, the safety box was small and could not store a laptop.

Siamotif has a strong impression of being a hotel for relaxing, but surprisingly it was also possible to work there.
What is good about this hotel?“An environment where you can switch as soon as you get tired”。
If you go out to the lobby or common terrace, you will be greeted by the river view, the breeze, and the cats, so you can refresh your mind with a short break.
on the other hand,
- It’s a small hotel, so it’s not suitable for people who don’t like staying in a hotel for a long time.
- Convenience stores and cafes are a little far away, so it’s a little inconvenient when you want to go shopping.
Overall, the hotel was a good place to work for a short stay, but it might not be suitable as a long-term work base.
By the way, if you want to have a calm atmosphere like Siamotif, but want a better work environment,peninsula bangkokis recommended.
Meals and surrounding environment
One of the charms of Siamotif isbreakfast。
You can dine on the common terrace on the first floor while looking out at the river.The restaurant serves warm dishes handmade by the owner’s family.
The taste is simple yet heartfelt, served on cute Thai tableware, and makes you think, “This is what it’s all about.”
Butter-soaked toast, subtly stylishly peeled mandarin oranges, homemade paneeng curry, stir-fried cabbage and jasmine rice colored with butterfly peas from our own vegetable garden…
Enjoy breakfast in a relaxing atmosphere,marriottIt was something that I couldn’t experience at a city hotel like this.
Lunch and dinner may be provided for a fee if requested in advance.
(Actually, reviews on Google Maps and hotel reservation sites state that “dinner was cooked for me.”)
However, I am unconfirmed myself.
If you want to eat in the surrounding area, you can go to a cafe or local restaurant, although you have to walk a bit, or if you take the MRT, you can enjoy food stalls at the night market.
However, it is difficult to go out when it rains, and it is difficult to eat outdoors at night markets, so be careful that you will quickly run out of options.
Actually, I was planning to go to the night market, but unfortunately I had to give up because of the rain…
I felt that the great thing about this area is that you can enjoy both relaxing meals at the hotel or going out and experiencing local experiences that you can’t find in the city.

What was particularly impressive about Siamotif was the sense of distance that felt like living with a cat.
There are three cats at the hotel, who spend their time freely in the lobby and common spaces.

This is an irresistible hotel for cat lovers.
In addition, the surrounding area is different from central Bangkok, and has a slow-paced lifestyle unique to the Bangkok Noi area.
Even if you take a walk along the river, you can see the scenery of local life, and it is a completely different world from the hustle and bustle of tourist areas.
Inside the hotel, it was the ultimate luxury to spend time “doing nothing” while enjoying the breeze from the fan on the common terrace or lobby, watching the river flow in front of me.
This is exactly “A hotel where you can go to do “nothing””。
You can be freed from everyday life and have the experience of resetting your mind just by placing yourself on the riverside.
Advantages and disadvantages of Siamotif

- There are restrictions on toilets due to the old folk style.(As is common in old Thai hotels, toilet paper cannot be flushed and is placed in the trash can.)
- There are no large commercial facilities nearby, and it takes about 10 minutes to walk to a convenience store or cafe.
- You cannot drive in front of the hotel, so you will need to walk for about 5 minutes to access it.
- When it rains, sightseeing and transportation options suddenly decrease.
- A short stay of 1-2 days might be better than a long stay.
- The common lobby and terrace are open air, so it’s easy for small insects to get in. They may occasionally come into the guest room, soNot suitable for people who are extremely afraid of insects
*However, the room itself was kept very clean and there was no unpleasant impression.
If you are concerned about these disadvantages, it may be better to stay at a city hotel like the Marriott Suriwongse.
While it has an urban feel, you can relax in the infinity pool.

Siamotif is a hotel where you can experience “the way time passes” that you cannot get at Bangkok’s city hotels.
